Dixie Chicks, and San Francisco has Blame Sally",
the difference being, among other things, that Blame
Sally's music is a little more indie, a little less
country, a little more brainy and Blame Sally
released their potent anti-war song in 2001, long
before protest became fashionable among the
mainstream.
San Francisco's
all-woman band, Blame Sally has just released their
third album, Severland, on the Dig Music Label. In
May, 2007 they were the Number One charting band on
XM Satellite Radio's XM Cafe (XM 45). Neil Young's
website, Living With War has featured their anti-war
video, "If You Tell a Lie" since September, 2006,
where it remained at 2 for the first 4 months.
