Kerrville Music On-Line

Kerrville music on line is a new program developed by Kerrville Festivals Inc. and The Kerrville Telephone Company. This program will develop e-commerce enabled web sites for participating artists to promote and sell their products on-line. By using the long standing and very positive reputation of the Kerrville Folk Festival and the stability and technical expertise of a 100 year old communications company, this new project will offer participants the opportunity to take advantage of the “best of both worlds” when in comes to selling and promoting your products.

The concept is very simple. You host your web site with KFF either as a sub domain (www.kerrville-music.com/yourname) or as a regular domain www.tomprasada-rao.com. The KTC I-NET staff (by the way they host over 500 domains and web sites) will work with you to move or relocate an existing site or build a new one for you. We will e-commerce enable your site so you can sell CDs and we will do all the fulfillment. We ask that you send us a reasonable stock of your CDs and we will do all the rest. When an order comes in we will process that order, collect the money, and ship the CD to the buyer. Each quarter we will send you a statement and check with the proceeds less your hosting fees.

Each CD will normally sell for $15, KFF will receive $5 from each sale plus a small shipping and handling charge and you will receive $10 for each sale.

Your web hosting charge will be $20 per month (billed quarterly and reconciled against your CD sales if any). There is no charge to move and set up an existing web site or build your initial site to sell your CDs. Special design or re-design is only $35 per hour and a firm quote up front is available. Minor updates and changes are no charge. We will also be hosting a calendar so you can post your schedule and visitors to the KFF site will be able to view the calendar.

Another exciting project is our MP3 On-line site. Soon we will be offering on a per song, per album, or monthly subscription basis the ability to download MP3 files. This program is purely optional for artists but we believe it is the future for our Industry. Single MP3 downloads and MP3 albums will be offered. Revenues will be shared with artists based on download frequency. Security rules will be in effect to prevent unauthorized or fraudulent downloads.
